Niantic Labs has included a secret new feature in "Pokemon Go" that changes the entire egg hatching dynamics in Niantic's popular augment reality game. Meanwhile, Niantic has rolled out the first in-game holiday-themed event that will last for one whole week.
Forbes reports that this new secret feature found in "Pokemon Go" alters the entire mechanics of hatching eggs. The good thing is that it will enable players to snag particular 5km and 10km Pokemon.
Abra, Bellsprout, Cubone, Diglett, Ekans, Exeggecute, Ghastly, Goldeen, Krabby, Machop, Nidoran (both), Oddish, Seel, Slowpoke, Venonat and Voltorb that used to be a 5km Pokemon belong now to 2km cluster. The 10km Pokemon Pinsir and Scyther, on the other hand, can be caught within 5km.
It appears that gamers of "Pokemon Go" will have more changes to spawn a rare Pokemon given the reduction of Pokemon, which fall under 5km and 10km tiers. But these new 2km Pokemon still seem to serve more as a jackpot for gamers at the lower levels in the game.
Niantic has confirmed in its official statement that players will tend to often encounter Pokemon Chansey, Clefable, Porygon and the cute pink Pokemon in the wild. In addition to that, Pokemon Cleffa, Igglybuff and Smoochum will tend to probably hatch from Eggs.
Moreover, as Valentine's Day is fast approaching, Niantic has also greeted fans early ahead of the day of hearts with a sweet thought of doubling candies rewards each time gamers hatch, catch or transfer Pokemon.
"Your Buddy Pokémon is also getting into the Valentine's Day spirit and will find Candy twice as fast!" Niantic stated via its blog post. "And to help you paint your town pink this Valentine's Day, Lure Modules will last for six hours for the entire duration of the event."
In more news, dataminers have kept themselves busy digging up new evidence of big features that are coming in the near future in Pokemon Go. These features found are 100 new Pokemon, 38 new moves, Evolution Stones and Split Evolution support, support for Shiny Pokémon and Pokémon genders and more.
In celebration of the Valentine's Day, Pokémon GO has now started its first in-game event this year on February 8 and will end on February 15.
