Dylan Rigby and Craig Douglas of the social gaming website FutGalaxy has been ordered to pay a total of $330,000 worth of fines for not being honest in their income statement and encouraging minors to gamble. According to reports, the "FIFA" gambling website allows minors to gamble using a virtual currency from the "FIFA" video game.

Rigby, who is believed to be the site operator, has been ordered to pay a fine of $30,000. Douglas was ordered to pay a fine of $20,000. These fines are aside from the legal fees that both also had to play. Rigby was assessed $187,000 in legal fees while Douglas will have to cough up an additional $94,000 for legal fees.

According to reports, Douglas also known as his NepentheZ Youtube name, encouraged minors to gamble on FutGalaxy. Douglas reportedly said that bettors in FutGalaxy do not have to be 18 years old because they are using a virtual currency from the "FIFA" video game. According to an earlier report, a 14 year old boy lost $730 in the "FIFA" gambling website in just a single day.

District Judge Jack McGarva gave the verdict and imposed the fines on the two. McGarva in his verdict found Rigby and Douglas as being dishonest about their finances. According to reports, the "FIFA" gambling site earned $120,000 in unreported revenues during their six month operation.

The fine imposed against Rigby and Douglas was aggravated by the fact that their "FIFA" gambling website did not only accept bet from minors but also encouraged minors to gamble. According to McGarva, both men knew that minors had access to their website and both chose to turn a blind eye to it.

The Youtube video of Douglas under his NepentheZ Youtube channel that showed him saying "You don't have to be 18 for this" was shown during the opening of the case. Game Publisher EA has tried to put a stop to "FIFA" gambling by banning users who have suspicious transactions with their virtual currencies.
