E3 2016 had some major announcements and one of them being Microsoft's Xbox One Project Scorpio. The company has been reportedly bragging about the technical excellence this upcoming hardware will be capable of.
Moreover, Xbox One's Project Scorpio is noted to be the very first console that will run native 4K. In addition, Microsoft termed Xbox One's upgraded model as the 'most powerful console ever.' This has made fans pretty excited who are eagerly waiting to see what the developers are going to introduce in the upcoming months.
Xbox Chief, Phil Spencer, was asked on Twitter by a fan about the future of the console and its games. Whether the upgraded console be capable of running already launched Xbox games in high definition was the fan's major concern. People also felt a need to ask about its comparison with the PS4 Pro. As we all know that Sony's latest console system has a boost mode for running games in 4K. But, will that be the case for the Xbox One Project Scorpio as well?
Spencer didn't specifically compare the two devices directly, but he did show confidence in the upgraded Xbox One model. He noted fans that the new console will offer higher frame rates for not only new games, but existing Xbox games as well.
Another fan reportedly asked Spencer about exclusive titles for Microsoft's upcoming console. And, Spencer seemingly felt good about it as he teased fans that 2017 will be a great year for first party games than the previous year. On top of that, the Xbox boss noted of a "new IP" to launch this year as well. Whether it will be a completely new and unannounced IP is yet to be seen.
The Microsoft Xbox One Project Scorpio could be the device every gamer would love to have if what Spencer says is true. Whether the console is a match for PS4 Pro will soon be revealed once it launches.
