In general, "Minecraft" add-ons allude to the sporadic clever machine frolic or mini games, however, it doesn't take too long for the player to return to the main game. But this is likely to change soon.
After a fan brought "Pokemon Fire Red" to "Minecraft" last year, Phoenix SC has introduced "Pokemon Cobalt and Amethyst" to the game. The recently rolled out "Minecraft" add-on breathes new life into the endeavor and creature battles of its namesake game with a considerable amount of focus on details.
"Pokemon Cobalt and Amethyst" - Features & Other Details
The new 3D Pokemon game that runs exclusively in "Minecraft" was under development for 31 months. It boasts 136 new Pokemon, a newfangled soundtrack, the aboriginal Suliqu region along with an array of other awe-inspiring features.
The team behind "Pokemon Cobalt and Amethyst" even rolled out a new video that gives a brief glimpse of what the new game has in store, although it primarily focuses on how players can set up their "Minecraft" client correctly.
Aside from that, the game's creator even shared their own playthrough of 'Pokemon Cobalt and Amethyst.' The 30-minute video footage (seen below), kicks off with an explosion. The players start the game from a place dubbed as Serenity Town in his/her mother's house.
While it's quite amazing to see how they came up with this all-encompassing adventure, those bent on seeing this unfold can delve into the playthrough video below. However, they must bear in mind that it requires an unmodded version of "Minecraft" to play.
Meanwhile, a Slashgear source has reported that the upcoming "Pokemon Go" Gen 2 Valentine's Day update will most likely include friendship-based evolutions. If this comes to fruition, the friendship-based evolutions are likely to kick off with the Gen 2 evolved forms of Eevee -- Espeon and Umbreon.
Whether a player ends up getting his/her hands on Espeon or Umbreon basically depends on when the player evolves it. Those who evolve it in the day will get Espeon and players who evolve it at night will receive Umbreon. However, capturing Gen 2 Pokemon is expected to be nothing short of backbreaking as Niantic Labs will have to pay for a permit to operate in Milwaukee County Parks.
