Metal Gear Solid 5 is one of those games you know is in development. However, you just don't know when to expect it since Kojima Productions is so secretive about its projects. Well, we might have an idea of what is going down with the title, and if these little bits of information are true, the year 2013 will be one to be remembered.
Motion actor Eric Bossic in an interview with Silent Haven, revealed that he has just finished some work on a future Metal Gear title. Note that he didn't say Metal Gear Solid 5, so there is the slight possibility it could be a whole different Metal Gear title all together. He went on to mention that the game is not to be released until summer 2013 (earliest, that is) if not, a little later.
"I can 100% say my voice will not be involved in this. I dont even know what the title is, they are all very secretive and sometimes even the scenes I act out I dont even know the full story, because they want to keep it secret.2"
If there is truly a Metal Gear title gearing up for release in 2013, it could be possible this game would make its debut on next generation consoles. This makes us wonder, could the PlayStation 4 (PS4) be ready for store shelves by summer of 2013? It is possible, since we doubt Sony would be interested in being the last one out of the gates this time around. Getting ahead of the Xbox 720 would give the PS4 a huge boost in sales, and if Metal Gear Solid 5 turns out to be a launch title, then PS4 would be unstoppable, at least for the rest of 2013.
You know what? Now that Kojima Productions is working on a new Metal Gear title, we'd like the team to get working on the next installment in the Zone of the Enders series, as it is long overdue.
