A major free update for "Dark Souls 3" is set to officially go live on February 8 across PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms. This latest patch will focus majorly on the game's PVP mode.
Via the game's official Twitter account, the developer has confirmed the arrival of the update that will address some balancing issues found in the games and tweak several bugs.
According to WccfTech, the most important issue that this latest update will fix for "Dark Souls 3" in relation to its PVP is getting rid of the player invasion during the time another player is engaged in a boss battle. It has been a problem among players to see themselves being attacked by another gamer when they are in boss fight and that is apparently a difficult situation to deal with in the game.
Thus, when the latest upgrade goes live on Wednesday, Feb. 8, players will now fight a single enemy at one given time. Below is the complete list of the changelog for the big update coming tomorrow for "Dark Souls 3".
Fixed issue where a player could invade another player during a boss battle.
Fixed issue where an enchantment could be applied to weapons which normally could not be enchanted.
Fixed issue where, when items are used while casting magic, display glitches could occasionally occur.
Fixed issue where it was possible to cancel immediately into a second magic spell after casting the first one.
Fixed issue where the first part of a skill action could be skipped.
Fixed issue where a single item could be used indefinitely.
In addition, prior to the official release time of the new patch, From Software also announced that servers will be down for maintenance. The down time is expected to take two hours, except Xbox One. Players must note the various game platforms will get different schedule of the maintenance break.
As per the developer, the PC servers down time is slated 9:00 a.m. up to 11:00 a.m. For PS4 players, the break will take place starting 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. while the Xbox One servers will be down at 2:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. Note that the time are in CST and gamers can start downloading the update after the servers maintenance are done.
