"Pokemon Duel" gives players the choice of taking their evolved Pokemon into battle or to have them evolve in the course of the duel. Unlike the more popular Pokemon GO game, this game might have started out in the market with a whimper than with a bang. Nevertheless, true-blooded Pokemon fans have been receptive and accepting of the franchise's new game in its artillery.

For some fans, "Pokemon Duel" has more depth than its more successful counterpart. For those who are still not in the zone, "Pokemon Duel" is another mobile game in the Pokemon franchise's quiver of online games. It is based on Pokemon IP and allows players to place themselves in competitive duels by way of digital versions of cute Pokemon figurines.

Some of the notable features of the game include its susceptibility for players to earn rewards and unlock additional figures--in doing so, allows them to customize their respective teams in the course of dueling with other teams of trainers. What fans are complaining about, however, is the game's lack of detailed and comprehensive tutorials.

The most known feature of every Pokemon game is evolution, a feature which is reminiscent of the franchise's source material. In "Pokemon Duel," players have two options in order to have their Pokemon evolve. First is by way of assigning an evolved version of a Pokemon to the initial lineup. This becomes possible when players unlock the evolution figure. This comes with a price, however.

Doing the first option would see a Pokemon, which evolved in the middle of a match, to ensure a 10 point damage bonus. For instance, a Squirtle evolving into a Wartortle while in the middle of the match makes the said Pokemon mightier in the battle than it would have been if Wartortle was in the initial lineup.

In order to evolve, players must keep in mind the following. Players must customize his/her deck. Prior to the match, players must clink on decks in order to customize his/her initial lineup. From this perspective, every player would notice that every Pokemon that is capable of evolution has a blue dot below its figure. The glowing of the dot determines whether or not evolution is in the set. If it glows, the Pokemon can evolve. If not, the case is otherwise.

Players must then click 'edit figures.' Players need to select 'edit figures' in order to set up an evolution. In the 'Edit Figures' menu, players can select which Pokemon that they would like to evolve by clicking the blue button appearing below that particular Pokemon's figure. Every player must remember, however, that they can set an evolution only if they have acquired the necessarily evolved figure.

Players must then assign evolution. It can be done by selecting the evolved figure from the 'Edit Evolution' screen. Players must then return to the line up in order to confirm whether or not the evolution has been set. A Pokemon that evolved will have a lit blue dot.

Lastly, "Pokemon Duel" players must win a fight. Players must win a battle against another Pokemon in order to trigger the evolution mid-match. Upon doing this, players must enter combat on the board. If the Pokemon succeeds in knocking out another Pokemon, the option to evolve will appear. One should remember that evolving is a matter of choice. This depends on what players think while strategizing.
