The budget friendly iteration of the Xiaomi Mi 5 dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi 5c has been subject to a slew of leaks. The device is even rumored to arrive ahead of MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017, which kicks off Feb. 27 in Barcelona.

While smartphone lovers continue waiting with bated breath for the rumored Mi 4c successor, it has been spotted online in the form of a leak, which seemingly spills the beans about the Xiaomi Mi 5c's processor. Moreover, a recently surface leak divulged exactly how things are stacked up as far as the rumored Snapdragon 835 processor situation expected in the Mi 6 flagship is concerned.

Xiaomi Mi 5c Specifications & Features

A powerful 14nm Snapdragon 625 processor will be firing up the Xiaomi Mi 5c, which is tipped to pack 3GB of RAM coupled with a mammoth 64GB of inbuilt storage, GizChina reported.

In the photography front, the Mi 5c is could boast a 12MP sensor at the rear and an 8MP front shooter for the selfie addicts. Furthermore, the Mi 5c will come with a robust 3200mAh battery and will be running on MIUI 8 out of the box.

The Mi 5c just got certified at 3C (China Quality Certification Center). According to the certification website, the device could employ a 5V/2A power adapter, meaning, it will not come with fast charging feature. Furthermore, it will sport radically narrow bezels with a 5.5-inch Full-HD display, which will be protected by a 2.5D curved glass.

Live images of the Mi 5c have also found their way to the internet giving smartphone enthusiasts a brief glimpse of the Mi 5c from every angle. The smartphone initially rumored to hit the stores in December but that didn't come to fruition. Now, the latest buzz surrounding the smartphone suggests it will arrive sometime this month, according to Gadgets360.

Following the Mi 5C's debut, Xiaomi is expected to launch the Mi 6 flagship smartphone either in March or April. The big selling point of the device will be the Snapdragon 835 SoC.
