Recently, "Overwatch" representatives reveal more upcoming plans for the FPS online game. Both game director and principal designer spill some beans on the game's online forums. Mainly, the game's characters and its changes that will come.

Bitbag reports that game director Eric Kaplan confirmed that there will be changes to the 1v1 Mystery Heroes mode for Mercy and Lucio. On the official "Overwatch" forum, Kaplan explained why both support characters are not playable in the said game mode.

The mentioned characters have a bigger tendency to force 1v1 matched to draws. However, the game director and Blizzard are working on ways to prevent this from happening and give way to Lucio and Mercy to return to the game mode.

Apparently, Mercy's Caduceus Staff and Guardian Angel ability are rendered useless in the 1v1 mode due to the lack of allies. However, Mercy's passive skills allow the character to regenerate, when the character doesn't take damage for a period of time.

Meanwhile, Lucio's Crossfade Movement Speed and Healing auras can make Lucio last long in 1v1 matches. Lucio can rush in with the speed boosts when fighting and damage skills can also be devastating.

Characters with healing abilities are often good picks in the map with no Health kits and objectives. In the meantime, players will just have to wait for the next update to see what's been modified.

In other news, Blizzard principal designer Geoff Goodman confirms that Bastion will be tweaked for the upcoming "Overwatch" PTR as PCGames reports. Goodman says that the designer is looking at Bastion's minigun-wielding sentry mode.

Goodman states that Bastion might take less damage and has an increased speed when in sentry mode. Geoff Goodman is also looking at the character's self-repair ability. Bastion's new self-repair ability will require a resource system, similar to D.Va's defense matrix.

Goodman added that these changes have turned this ability from a rarely used ability, to a much more powerful, core survivability tool. These changes are expected to rollout on the next "Overwatch" PTR.
