In "Dead or Alive," episode 11 of "The Flash" season 3, Cisco Ramon/Vibe (Carlos Valdes) meets another metahuman with powers similar to his. Is she an ally or another enemy?

The episode begins with arms dealers meeting as H.R. Wells (Tom Cavanagh, portraying Harrison Wells from Earth-19) narrates, per ComicBook. Barry Allen/ The Flash (Grant Gustin) and H.R. defeat the dealers with the help of an enormous vortex cannon. In the next scene, H.R. is shown at the S.T.A.R. Labs and he is writing a book.

As alerts start going off, it is revealed that a crime is in progress and both The Flash and Kid Flash / Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) stop the perpetrators. Both speedsters return to the lab, and Barry then asks Cisco if he has discovered how to change the future. Barry is determined to prevent Iris' murder.

Meanwhile, Cisco challenges Gypsy/Cindy Reynolds (Jessica Camacho) to a "trial by combat," per TV Line. Gypsy claims that she is a bounty hunter tasked with bringing back "H.R." Wells, who is from Earth-19, because he must return for a trial and execution since inter-dimensional travel is forbidden in Earth-19.

Cisco is confident because he has trained for 24 hours prior to challenging Gypsy, but it appears that this is not enough to beat her. Julian Desmond (Tom Felton) then discovers Gypsy's weakness: whenever the bounty hunter creates a breach, she is off-balance whenever she exits them.

Thanks to this new information, Cisco seems more confident when he challenges Gypsy once again. Now wearing his full gear, Cisco/Vibe and Gypsy fight. Both travel through several portals and they even go to Earth-Two and National City (Supergirl's Home). Cisco uses Julian's advice and he finally beats Gypsy.

However, Gypsy refuses to return to Earth-19 without H.R. The latter promises that he won't return to Earth-19, and Gypsy says that she will lie about killing him. The bounty hunter then teases Cisco with a kiss as she says good-bye.

With Gypsy gone, Cisco has a heart-to-heart with H.R. He tells H.R. that it's a nice change of pace to work with a version of Wells who occasionally needs help from the rest of the team as it is usually Wells who helps them out.

Meanwhile, Iris West (Candice Patton) is focused on stopping a next-generation firearms dealer. Iris goes to stop the dealer, despite "almost jeopardizing a long-running CCPD sting in the process." After the incident, Barry promises that if he can beat Savitar (Tobin Bell) once, he will do so again to protect Iris.

The next scene then shows Barry, who tells Wally that he'll be the one to save his sister from Savitar. Barry promises to train him so Kid Flash can defeat the villain.
