Meanwhile, The "Final Fantasy XV" standalone episode, titled Episode Gladio, is about Gladiolus. It stars everyone's favorite "Final Fantasy XV" bro who loves wearing his shirt unbuttoned. Gladiolus will play differently from Noctis, keeping up with his increased stature, power and shirt size.

US Gamer reported that "Final Fantasy" mainstay Gilgamesh will be in the episode and screenshots appear to show Cor Leonis making a return. Episode Gladio unfolds from the perspective of Gladio, who was not playable in the main story of "Final Fantasy XV." Players can enjoy fresh controls with Gladio-like action different from Noctis. In addition, there are also episodes for other party members Ignis and Prompto to come later in the year. Siliconera reports that the Prompto episode is coming out in June. However, it has no synopsis yet according to Square Enix. The only detail about episode Prompto is that he will do it alone in Niflheim territory.

The Ignis episode, on the other hand, has no date set yet. Moreover, another expansion, called Comrades, will be in "Final Fantasy XV" soon. It will add a four-player co-op that will feature all main characters. This has no set date as of this writing, as well.
