"Dragon Cry," "Fairy Tail's" second anime movie already got its first draft. This is the first image about the latest movie installment of the hit manga "Fairy Tail."
Dragon Cry's First Draft
Hiro Mashima, the brain behind the hit "Fairy Tail" on his Twitter account on January 20 was twitted by Fairy Tail DC of an image of the first draft for the upcoming "Fairy Tail" anime movie, "Dragon Cry." The image was originally uploaded by GAGA, the Japanese film distributor who made a website late in 2016 specifically for the upcoming movie.
The first draft is a sketch work where the film's title is visibly written along with creator credits. The left side of the page shows a series of four art panels. The topmost panel is a close-up image of a fire-lit torch that is zoomed out of in the next panel. The third panel goes down to an empty hallway.
The fourth panel, on the other hand, shows an extreme close-up of a boy with hair partly covering his face. On the face appears what seems to be a scar or trail of blood running down his left eye. The boy could probably be Natsu as the resemblance is very striking. A phrase written in Japanese says, "Everything started from here."
Predictions
Some fans predicted that "Dragon Cry" would cap the "Fairy Tail" series. Speculations late in 2016 are loud about the manga ending in 2017, a movie out, and then definitely be animated in a series. This happened to Naruto and this might be the trend for "Fairy Tail," too. There are also predictions that in the anime movie "Dragon Cry" they will debut Lucy and Natsu's daughter Nashi. Probably, as they end the present "Fairy Tail," they will make a new one where Nashi will be the center of the new set of stories.
"Dragon Cry" is confirmed to be released in Spring 2017. "Fairy Tail" chapter 518 manga will be on this week's issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine, January 25, 2017 (Japan Release).
