Last year, Google announced that they would bring Android apps to the Chromebook. However, it is only for a certain unit model. Now, Google confirms that all Chromebook that will be released in 2017 and beyond will support all Android apps.

The current Chromebook models that support Android apps are the Asus Chromebook Flip, Acer Chromebook R11 and Google's Chromebook Pixel. Just recently, Google has said that approximately 50% of all devices released in the past two years will be compatible for the apps in the future.

On a CNET report, they cited that a Google spokesperson confirmed that this year, Android apps will be coming to all new released Chromebooks. Though, it may not be available immediately, it will depend on when the Chromebook launches and when Android Apps on Chrome OS is out of Beta.

As reported by Engadget, Adobe announced that it will release 6 free Android Creative Cloud apps as part of a beta for Chrome OS devices that launches this month. For those who already have one of the three Chromebooks that are already suitable for Android software, they can already use these Adobe apps immediately.

Chromebooks are soft-core computers that run Google's Chrome OS instead of Microsoft Windows or Mac OS. These computers are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and documents living in the cloud. Chromebooks have also long been criticized for its lack of app support compared with other OS.

A lot of computer manufacturers are releasing their Chromebook devices this year and for the coming years as well. Lenovo, Samsung, Toshiba and HP are one of the companies that are now making Chromebook computers, some of them showed off their devices in the recent CES 2017.
