"Justice Monsters V" (JMV) is a fictional pinball game in Eos, the world of Square Enix's role-playing game (RPG) "Final Fantasy XV" for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. While a fun mini-game at first glance, mastering the mechanics of JMV can give players a much-needed boost in the early stages of the game.
According to Samurai Gamers, the JMV pinball machines are located at all Crow's Nest Diners. A special JMV machine that costs 10,000 gil per game is also found at Palsino Street Station in Altissia. The expensive version of JMV gives out better rewards compared to the normal 10 gil versions. Both the 10 Gil and 10,000 Gil JMV machines are found in the PS4 and Xbox One versions of "Final Fantasy XV."
In JMV, players must shoot pinballs, or orbs, at enemies to wipe out their HP. Every set of enemies is called a "wave." When you clear a wave, you proceed to the next one. Enemy bosses occasionally appear, and they have more HP than normal enemies. When you start a game, you start with four random orbs. If one of your orbs lose all their HP, they are "ejected" from the game.
"Final Fantasy XV" game basics such as controls, Shot types, Charged Shot Properties, and Hero Tech, are all covered in the JMV help screen. Do take note of Elemental weaknesses: Fire is strong against Earth, same as Earth VS Lightning, Lightning VS Water, Water VS Fire, Light VS Dark, and Dark VS Light.
Lastat27 from Gamefaqs has shared some useful "Final Fantasy XV" tips for playing JMV. The user shared that players will do well to utilize Slicing, or holding the Left Analog stick in various directions the same time as the (X) button, as this causes the pinball to fire in the desired direction. Keep in mind that you must switch your pinballs, especially if their HP is almost depleted. Once you gain HP through in-game events, the depleted HP will replenish.
You can also earn treasures in "Final Fantasy XV" when you reach the required number of chests- this is indicated in the upper-left corner of the JMV screen. You can also farm four Emerald Bangles early in the game to give each party member a +60 strength boost.
