Target is giving away a free copy of "Madden NFL 17" when you buy a new Xbox One S console. It might Target's way of sharing the football fever that's high in America right now.

With the AFC and NFC Championship games taking place today, NFL fans are in a football frenzy. Target aims to take advantage of the frenzy by giving a free copy of "Madden NFL 17."

According to Gamespot, for players that would want the game, it's available for $35 this week. The Xbox Store is also selling the digital copy for $30. It's still not clear if enthusiasts will be given another free game for the "Xbox Madden NFL 17" bundle. As of writing the NFL bundle is not available at Target right now.

The New England Patriots will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC matchup. While the Green Bay Packers is taking on the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC game.

EA usually offers a "Super Bowl Edition" of the newest Madden game for a nice discount during the week of the games. The developer often simulates the matchup and predicts a winner.

"Madden NFL" has been around since 1988, it's one of the longest game franchise in the history of gaming. The American football video game is developed by EA Tiburon for EA Sports.

The series has already sold at least 100 million copies worldwide. The game features sophisticated playbooks and player statistics. The game has one of the best voice commentaries in a game. That allows players to hear the game as if it were a real TV broadcast.
