Electronic Arts has prepared a lot of good stuff for fans during its media presentation at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. Here are some of the highlights from EA's show.
New "Titanfall 2" Trailer
First up was Respawn Entertainment's Vince Zampella, who showed the latest trailer for "Titanfall 2". The trailer featured multiplayer gameplay and six fully customizable Titans. Zampella promised that there will be a "deep progression" system and more customization in the game.
Zampella also announced that PS4 players will also be able to play "Titanfall 2" once the game is released.
A new offline single-player campaign mode was also announced, which was leaked a few hours before the press conference, VG 24/7 reports.
"Titanfall 2" will be launched October 28, and fans can participate in beta by signing up on its official website.
EA Amps Up Competitive Play For "Madden NFL 17"
EA's Peter Moore confirmed that "Madden NFL 17" will bring the series' "most balanced gameplay to date". There will be three brand new ways to play online: Premier, Challenger, and EA Major events. The company will also give away $ 1 million prize pot at next year's "Madden 17" Championship series.
New "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Trailer
EA also gave the viewers the new "Mass Effect: Andromeda" trailer. Bioware's Aaryn Flynn talked to the audience about how the team wants to offer players more freedom in the game. The game will feature new characters, planets, and lifeforms, and will be built using the Frostbite engine.
EA still did not confirm when the game will be released.
EA Announces "Play to Give"
EA gives back with an initiative dubbed "Play to Give", which will allow players to make charitable donations by completing in-game challenges. A total of $ 1 million will be given to charity via this initiative.
"FIFA 17" "Journey" Story Mode
A story mode will be added to EA's "FIFA 17" called "Journey", and is comparable to 2K Sport's "NBA 2K" MyCareer mode. The story will revolve around Alex Hunter, a newbie Premier League player with big goals and dreams.
EA Launches EA Originals Featuring Indie Game "Fe"
Swedish indie game studio Zoink Games introduced its atmospheric game "Fe" as part of EA's new EA Originals initiative. The game publisher will help indie studios get their breaks by giving them a hand with marketing and publishing promising works.
The Future of "Star Wars" Games
EA has a lot of "Star Wars" games in development at the moment. "Star Wars: Battlefront" will get new content based on the recent "Star Wars" films. Visceral is also working on a new "Star Wars" action-adventure game and is set to release in 2018. Another game studio, Respawn, is also working on a different "Star Wars" title covering a different time period.
New Battlefield 1 Trailer
Finally, EA showed a short trailer for "Battlefield 1" and announced two new additions to the game: dynamic weather, and huge flying vehicles. There was also a "Battlefield 1" live stream event shown immediately after EA's presentation, with celebrities Snoop Dogg, Zac Efron, Jamie Foxx and Terry Crews joining in on the fun.
