As part of Niantic's next big update for "Pokemon GO," a news section is expected to be released soon to offer players updated information as well as patch notes from different new updates and the game's new events. On the in-game menu, a new top-level button will soon be noticed by players.
"It looks like a new top-level button may be coming to the in-game menu," according to the dataminers at The Silph Road. A news section for "Pokemon GO" will show up in the code, which is expected to bring in updates about the game, events and others in a somewhat more official for references like official news digest. This news section was discovered by the dataminers along with almost 40 new moves that will jive in with the Gen 2 Pokemon's arrival.
Niantic previously brought in new moves in the form of Ditto that was released last year and was immediately followed by the first Gen 2 Pokemon. These discoveries in "Pokemon GO" were revealed along with possible new features such as Evolution items and shiny Pokemon on top of the added customization options as well as new Pokemon Forms.
According to Express, these new forms are related to Unown but it's not clear whether all the different forms will also appear or not. The game's most recent update has made modifications on how the GPS tracker functions, which means that eggs will possibly take time to hatch.
At this time, "Pokemon GO" tracks the distance that is travelled via GPS where players are able to rack up a number of additional steps although they're standing still but the new changes would be in contrast to racking up many bonus steps. With the crop of Gen 2 baby Pokemon currently available only through hatching eggs, players certainly need all the possible bonus steps they can get.
