"Pokemon Go" will have big additions soon in its upcoming update according to a datamine, which discovered programming data that relate to almost 40 new moves. This would be the first new moves apart from the Ditto's Transform attack that was added to the game since it was launched in July in the event that Niantic decides to implement these new moves.

Dataminers from The Silph Road, a "Pokemon Go" news site discovered these new moves such as Quick Moves and Charge Moves. The new moves feature a number of Fighting and Steel type attacks, which means that Fighting and Steel Pokemon would be more useful during gym combats soon.

These new moves must be forerunners in adding more Gen 2 Pokemon to the game in an attempt to provide a reason to players to use the new Pokemon rather than relying on their existing preferred Pokemon. Most of the new Pokemon are expected to have weaker CP in contrast to their Gen 1 counterparts but a few movesets that can be useful would be able to pan out many new Pokemon into gym rotations in "Pokemon Go."

Furthermore, Quick Moves include Powder Snow, Charge Beam, Counter, Volt Switch Infestation, Dragon Tail, Struggle Bug, Iron Tail, Astonish, Fire Spin, Bullet Seed, Air Slash, Extrasensory, Hex and Snarl. The Charge Moves include Dynamic Punch, Close Combat, Focus Blast, Wild Charge, Aurora Beam, Zap Cannon, Brave Bird, Avalanche, Sky Attack, Rock Blast, Sand Tomb, Silver Wind, Gyro Ball, Night Shade, Heavy Slam, Grass Knot, Overheat, Energy Ball, Mirror Coat, Futuresight, Crunch, Outrage, and Foul Play.

Howbeit, this discovery from the dataminers doesn't guarantee that the new moves will certainly be implemented in the next update for "Pokemon Go." One example was when the dataminers found out information that relates to trading in the gamedata but still doesn't show in the game until now, according to WWG.
