"Battlefield 1" is getting an upgrade soon and it looks like EA can't help but tease the fanbase a little. Aside from producer Ali Hassoon discussing a bit about the scheduled February updates on his personal Twitter, the official Battlefield 1 Twitter profile confirmed that players could expect more details on the 'They Shall Not Pass' DLC to be revealed next week.
The tweet simply says, "Be ready. First details coming next week." It's accompanied by a short teaser featuring the French flag and a soldier standing in the forefront. Pretty exciting stuff, and judging by the comments, fans are already on board the hype train. Check out the tweet here.
Meanwhile, "Battlefield 1" producer Ali Hassoon started a whole new speculation board, replying to a tweeted question about the progression system in the next patch. Hassoon replies with a simple "Maybe", and it was enough to open the floodgates for more questions and fan theories.
According to WCCFTech, Hassoon also talks about Custom Games on his Twitter. He announces, without preamble, that Back to Basics will remain as a permanent Custom Game. They will apparently be modifying it a bit "in the near future," but by and large it appears that they're quite happy with the Custom Game.
And on the topic of custom games, Twitter user Zach Mackin (@Mackincheezy) asked if there was a possibility of Fog of War being reinstated, to which Hassoon replied with a rather optimistic, "Yup, possibly!" For players who loved Fog of War, the level of enthusiasm is quite promising, but while it remains unconfirmed, one can only hope.
More details about the upcoming February update and the 'They Shall Not Pass' DLC can be read on the latest post on the "Battlefield 1" website. While not much has been revealed about both, the hype is certainly promising. The new update, according to the post, will improve gameplay based on "constant testing" and feedback from players.
Fans can expect more details and full update notes to be revealed in the near future. The upcoming "Battlefield 1" 'They Shall Not Pass' DLC will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
