It looks like "Destiny" fans are in for a huge disappointment as Bungie has confirmed its decision to cancel the highly anticipated Crimson Days event, themed around Valentine's Day.
Much to the dismay of "Destiny's" huge fanbase, the game developer announced that there will be no special Destiny Crimson Days event this year in its latest weekly blog post. In other words, there will no themed rewards, weapons or another sort of rewards in the offing for this year's V-Day.
Aside from confirming its decision to oust Crimson Days event, Bungie pointed out that it is currently hard at works on "different things" for the players to delve into. As expected, this stirred conversations among loyal fans with some optimistic "Destiny" players going as far as hazarding guesses that the studio could be gearing up to release a major Destiny update.
Bungie has opted to keep details about the aforesaid update under wraps and has neither confirmed nor denied rumors about the looming update running rampant all over the internet. Nevertheless, the studio noted that "Destiny" players can look forward to taking a seat on streaming set and discussing details about their springtime plans sooner rather than later.
Bungie attributed their decision to not spill the beans about the upcoming update to their policy, which restricts them from issuing guarantees about things that are not yet deemed ready for download, TheSun reported. Although the developer did not divulge more details about what aces it has up its sleeve for "Destiny" players, it dropped a few significant teasers in its latest weekly post.
The update is expected to bring in some weapon balance changes, which is likely to receive mixed reactions from loyal "Destiny" players. 2017 is expected to be an important year for "Destiny." Bungie plans to dish out "Destiny 2" this year, though the game has yet to be officially announced.
