The NES Classic Edition has been regularly out of stocks and although there are ways on how to buy them (but mostly are on premium prices), there are still disappointed fans who are eager to own Nintendo's replica of the original 80s console. Luckily, the classic console is on sale now at ThinkGeek Store but here's a catch - there's a special contest allowing customers to sign up, which will give them a chance to buy one of its in-stock units.
Thankfully, multiple entries are allowed and the process is easy. Just go to the contest page to enter - click here - and fill out the need information and the entries are viable over Facebook, email, Instagram and Twitter. You are allowed to enter all the listed methods for a total of six shots at the final prize.
According to MyNintendoNews, the draw is set on Jan. 23 at 12 PM EST and if you are lucky to have chosen, you will receive a private link to purchase the NES Classic Edition for $59.99, of course it's not free. Since ThinkGeek has had the same contest in the past for the classic console, any entries in those promotions will not be counted for this current promo, reports say.
However, the NES Classic Edition stocks for this contest are limited and ThinkGeek reps said that the winnings are only accounted for a few hundred units that were shipped to warehouses recently. So you better hurry if you want to get the chance of winning in the contest to buy the sough-after console.
Nintendo has been struggling to keep up with the customers' demands since the release of its NES Classic Edition in November 2017. President of Nintendo America Reggie Fils-Aime previously explained that they underestimated the console's audience targeting the 30 - 40 years old adults alone since they are the ones who grew up with the classic console.
