Gamers have had a hard time trying to get their hands on the NES Classic Edition. Despite having been launched to the gaming public just last November, the number of units that can be found in physical stores today is very few.

ThinkGeek, however, has come up with a way to give their loyal patrons a taste of the NES Classic Edition. Apparently, the known retailer recently got a shipment of the aforementioned console in its warehouse and is looking to give it away through a “game of chance.”

To join, there is a set of guidelines and instructions that will have to be followed - just like in any contest. Participants have to visit ThinkGeek’s contest page and type in their credentials. After that, entries must be submitted through social media, namely, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, or even through email.

As soon as news of the NES Classic Edition contest came out, gamers flocked to ThinkGeek to try their luck - especially considering that its stock is currently very limited. Although the company promised to reserve a few hundred units for the NES Classic Edition contest, it has been reported that there is a participation maximum capacity. Apparently, participants can only have six attempts.

The NES Classic Edition units will not be free, however. At $59.99, winners of ThinkGeek’s “game of chance” can buy their console without having to be at a physical store. Winners will be given a confidential link and code for their special purchase.

The NES Classic Edition console features a collection of 30 games. Its package is inclusive of an HDMI cable, an AC adapter, and an NES controller. These games are ready to play and are reportedly very easy to install.

UPDATE: The draw was scheduled at January 23, 2017, at approximately 12PM EST. ThinkGeek did not make an official announcement of the winners for everyone, but they did confirm on their Twitter account that “emails are out.”
