After the success of the Winter Wonderland event of "Overwatch," that featured some very festive player icons and highlighted intros, another exciting event awaits avid fans of the game. Reports claim that a new "Overwatch" event is slated to happen next week.

The next seasonal event of "Overwatch" will be based on Chinese New Year as announced through their official Twitter account. The event will start a few days ahead of the Chinese New Year which is on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. There were no further details given by Blizzard, but players had a chance to see what the characters would look like in the event.

The teaser featured Mei wearing a Chinese national costume just like in the previous event where the character got a skin in accordance to the Holiday event. Players have reportedly complained that it was an effortlessly recolored version of the character's usual costume, IBT Tmes reported. Aside from Mei, D.Va was also seen wearing a different look as seen on the leaked teaser that was released on the Korean Twitter account of "Overwatch."

Polygon reported that one of Blizzard's spokesperson confirmed to them that the Overwatch's "Year of the Rooster" event will feature the same margins as the other game events that came before this like the Halloween Terror and Winter Wonderland. With the event comes a limited-time character skins, sprays, voice lines, emotes and other cosmetic items including new gameplays- Junkenstein's Revenge and Mei's Snowball Offensive.
