"Pokemon Go" players just experienced some of the key events released by Niantic, like the Christmas and New Year event, where they gave away new sets of Pokemon and increased the spawns of our favorite Kanto Region starters. Now that those events are over, Forbes has listed down some events that need to come to "Pokemon Go" go help catch new characters and gain more XPs.

Unlocking the Regional Pokemon

The region-specific Pokemon are Taurus, exclusive for North America, Mr. Mine for Europe, Kangaskhan for Australia and Ferfetch'd in some parts of Asia. Obviously, it is impractical to travel to another country just to catch them. Once there will be an event unlocking these Pokemon to other parts of the world it will help fill up the "Pokemon Go" player's Pokedex.

Shiny Pokemon

One of the rarest Pokemon in all of the Pokemon games released are the Shinies. These would make a great addition to the mobile gam,e with only minimal changes and effort for the developers. They just have to re-color the Pokemon's skin. Increasing the shinies would encourage more passive "Pokemon Go" players to step outside and play the game.

Legendary Pokemon

The release of Legendary Pokemon has been one of the most anticipated events in "Pokemon Go," Notable creatures include the Legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, as well as two of the most powerful Pokemon, Mew and Mewtwo. Some players theorized that the birds will have a connection to the three teams in the game, while Mew and Mewtwo would be introduced as a some sort of a treasure hunt or a giant "landmark spawn." This is where the players would work together and take down and capture Mewtwo.

Generation 2 Pokemon

Niantic might have released the baby Pokemon as a teaser for the Gen 2, but players are hoping that they will be released all at once. That is, the hundred new Pokemon at one go and not by fix to six at a time. This would be the biggest launch in the "Pokemon Go" since its release and would likely boost engagement for the game.
