Capcom's "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will soon be released next week on Jan. 24 and the company has more good news for eager gamers. The upcoming game will soon be releasing free downloadable content (DLC).

According to Siliconera, Famitsu has revealed that the free DLC called "Not A Hero" is a short story that will be available in May 2017. Aside from the DLC's release date, the Famitsu report stated that the free DLC is not related to Ethan's storyline in "Resident Evil 7."

Meanwhile, Gamepur has announced that "Resident Evil 7" is already being sold in "retail shelves in the Middle East." Players who have already purchased their copies of the game before the release date were able to do so because some retailers did not adhere to the specified release street date for the video game. Players who already had copies of "Resident Evil 7" say that the game's main story takes only at least 10 hours to finish.

Famitsu also revealed that Capcom's "Resident Evil 7" will have four DLCs this year. While the three paid DLCs will available for a $30 Season Pass, the fourth one already mentioned is "Not A Hero" and will be free.

The paid DLCs will also be available as separate purchases, although buying a Season Pass will be more cost-effective. However, not much is known about the plot or content of the free DLC. "Not A Hero" will allegedly feature an entirely new character that will help players understand "Resident Evil 7's" storyline more.

Capcom also teased fans by saying that while not featuring Ethan, the main character of the upcoming game, the free DLC will let players have "a different taste" of gameplay as opposed to the main game. "Not A Hero" will also be related to how Ethan escapes in the main story mode.

"Resident Evil 7's" first DLC is called "Banned Footage Vol. 1," which includes scenarios called "Nightmare," "Bedroom," and "Ethan Must Die." DLC 1 features three sets of "45 minutes to 2-hour self-contained gameplay experiences." However, details about this DLC are kept under wraps.

DLC 2 will be called "Banned Footage Vol. 2" and will also contain three scenarios titled "21," "Daughters," and "Jack's 55th Birthday." DLC 3 will feature an "Additional Story Episode," but not much is known about the third DLC.
