"Pokemon Go" 2017 events are expected to hype the hunting application once again as players are hoping that the next updates for this year will involve finding rare Pokemon within their vicinity. Niantic has released events this year last Halloween, Christmas and New Year but the game did not pick up as it was expected to when it was first released.

On Twitter, "Pokemon Go" 2017 event ideas was the topic of Niantic's Twitter poll and the results were announced last January 12 that they want a Halloween event (54%), there were those who were looking forward to a "Thank You" event (18%) while Holiday events got 28%, which will be divided into two parts.

The Pokemon game, which was released in 2016, met a lot of peaks and lows but with its popularity, it seems like 2017 is going to be a good year for the game - however, Niantic has to provide a way to match the players' expectations. Previously, players lose interest in games like these due to the reason that the developers fail to provide regular updates and this is being taken care of by Niantic.

Part of its holiday update, the company held its first "Pokemon Go" 2017 event via New Year's update. Updates which are expected this year are greater than the previous Baby Pokemon and Santa hat Pikachu events. No information on what will be pushed for this year but here are some of the expectations that need to be met, as clamored by the fans:

"Pokemon GO" Gen 2 Update: This will probably be the biggest update that they can do to retain the following as they release a hundred new Pokemon. This will give players more drive to engage and hunt because there are new creatures to hunt and follow. Limited number of Pokemon were seen during the Baby Pokemon event and it ended up failing miserably.

"Pokemon GO" Legendary Pokemon Update: Roll out Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos and unleash the powers of these bird type Pokemon. It is expected that this will be launched in Spring, May 2017. Shinky Pokemon is also expected to be released with new design aspects employed to the game. They are expected to have colored reskin built in the animation of the game. A 3D version would be a great idea as well. The emergence of Shiny Pokemon will make it lighter for the players' eyes.

Mystic Pokemon such as Mew and Mewtwo needs to be revealed soon. These special and powerful Pokemon can be stacked in gyms and Niantic must be able to figure out a way to include them in the game. It is expected that the launch of these two will be an eventful day for players to work hard together to be able to catch a Mewtwo. This happened successfully with their Ditto event.

Lastly, "Pokemon GO" region-unlocking must already be done right away! They gave it up for the new gaming console "Nintendo Switch" so region-unlocking may go our way sooner than expected. That means everyone can access Tauros, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime and Farfetch'd outside their natural locations.
