iOS 10.2 jailbreak is said to be under development but unfortunately for iPhone 7 owners, the upcoming jailbreak will not cover their device. The news was confirmed by an official tweet from Luca Todesco himself, the man behind Yalu iOS 10 jailbreaking tool. He took to his Twitter account @qwertyoruiopz to reveal that he will be fixing issues of the current iOS 10. 1 jailbreak so it could support the 10.2 iOS.
In the tweet, Todesco clarified that the tool will not support iPhone 7 devices that are on iOS 10.2, which was released on Dec. 12. The popular pioneer of the jailbreaking community did not reveal the reason behind the exclusion of iPhone 7 on iOS 10.2 in the upcoming tool. However, he made it clear that iOS 10.2 jailbreak could still support iPhone 7 devices that are still on iOS 10 and 10.1.
Meanwhile, as reported by TechTimes, Yalu iOS 10 jailbreak is currently in beta testing phase that is why it only works on iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad Pro, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. It is important to note, however, that iPhone owners who use the current iOS 10 jailbreak version must save the SHSH2 blobs before updating to iOS 10.2 according to Todesco. This is necessary so that users may still opt to downgrade to the earlier version of the firmware to Prometheus as needed.
In other news, Apple has already rolled out another iOS 10.2.1 beta for developers. This is the fourth version of the beta released for testing. Developers are expected to test the firmware on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. As per 9to5Mac, the first and second beta versions of the iOS 10.2.1 were released back in December last year while the third version was shipped early this year.
