In months of waiting, "The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is presented at the Nintendo event today. The Japanese company has confirmed the release date of the open-world game with an additional box art and a game bundle to come along with the game.
The Verge reports that the Zelda game is coming out on March 3, 2017 along with the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. The game also comes with a box art and a new trailer is presented from the said event.
In the trailer, viewers saw Link scaling a mountain, running through snow-covered fields and riding around on his trusty steed, all in the hopes of saving the kingdom of Hyrule. Polygon reports that three different editions of the game will be sold: standard, special and master edition.
The special edition will include a carrying case, collectible coin, map, tapestry and the game's soundtrack. The master edition, which will cost $129.99, will include all of the above and a special Master Sword figure.
Regardless of which version fans end up getting, there's no doubt that gamers everywhere have labeled it 2017's most anticipated game ever. With less than two months left to go before its release, there should be enough time for fans to save up enough for both the game and a Nintendo Switch when both are finally released.
Meanwhile, Business Insider reports that this isn't the first time the Japanese company has released a new "Legend of Zelda" for two consoles simultaneously. Back in 2006, the original Nintendo Wii launched with "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess." But a version for the Nintendo Gamecube was released a week or two later.
The Zelda game is the first original Zelda game to hit Wii U. It was originally due in 2015, but Nintendo announced in the spring of that year that the game wouldn't make it until much later. "The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be released on March 3 this year for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Wii U.
