It has finally happened! The much awaited Nintendo Switch has finally been announced at the scheduled Tokyo Event. The event took place on January 12 and has been finally able to answer a lot of questions involving Nintendo Switch. We have the latest scoop and details on Nintendo Switch specs and games!
The Nintendo Switch specs include a 6.2-inch screen with 720p quality and multi-touch support. It runs at 1280 X 720 resolution in the hand-held mode. In the docked mode, the Nintendo Switch runs at full 1080p resolution when attached with an HDMI cable to a TV or monitor. Nintendo said that the Nintendo Switch functions through Nvidia Tegra processor, custom built only for Nintendo's latest console. However, more details haven't been mentioned yet.
The Nintendo Switch only has 32GB of internal storage and memory. This is really low compared to the 500GB offered by Xbox One and 1TB offered by PlayStation 4. Furthermore, with the latest trend of focusing on downloadable titles, this may be a huge shortcoming. However, Nintendo Switch storage can be expanded through microSD cards- although the performance on games using mciroSD is not something we have measured yet. Games releasing for Nintendo Switch are coming in physical GameCards and will contain the storage requirement of each such game to the individual cards itself.
The current battery life in handheld mode is pegged to be anywhere around 2.5 to 6 hours, which depends on the game being played. Currently, for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild", the battery life is around 3 hours. However, one good thing about the Nintendo Switch specs is that it uses USB Type C cord, which will make it easier to recharge. The console has fully fledged Wi-Fi connectivity and can connect to a whopping eight Nintendo Switch devices at once.
Among the games coming for Nintendo Switch, "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" (the updated version of "Mario Kart 8") has been announced and will come on April 28. It brings new locations, maps, and characters in the game and will have a lot of DLC content for the players.
Apart from this, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has been confirmed to be a Nintendo Switch title, too. It boasts of an open world design and will add many exploration attributes and features in the game. Most of the expectations reported earlier have turned out to be true. The Nintendo Switch console is heading everyone's way on March 3 officially- keep watching MobileNApps for more news and updates about the hottest console in the gaming zone currently!
