Lowes explained that Shonda Rhimes definitely has an ending to "Scandal," but she has no idea whether it will end the same way she has in mind. There were speculations that the series will end after Season 6, especially after "Good Morning America" referred to the upcoming season as the last one.
Rhimes was quick to respond to the alleged end of the series in "Scandal" Season 6. According to the series creator, the show is not yet ending with Season 6, but she already has an "ending in mind."
Meanwhile, Kerry Washington explained during the Television Critics Association that there were difficulties she encountered while filming "Scandal" Season 6, reports Refinery29. As most fans know, Washington was pregnant while the sixth season was in production, which led to a delay in the premiere of the show.
According to Washington, playing as Olivia Pope in "Scandal" Season 6 while pregnant was "really interesting" because her approach in acting often involves some sort of physicality with the role. The upcoming season will have a limited run, but Rhimes reassured viewers that this will ensure that each episode is packed with intense stories.
