Players brave enough to take on horror games will be glad to know that the PC game "Sylvio" will soon be available for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Stroboskop's game was previously released in 2015 for the Mac and Windows PC.

According to Euro Gamer, "Sylvio" will soon be available on the PS4 and Xbox One on Jan. 13. The game's Friday the 13th release teases gamers of the horror title's eerie premise. Stroboskop's "Sylvio" was designed by Niklas Swanberg and stars Juliette Waters, a paranormal investigator.

Juliette uses Electronic Voice Equipment to make sense of "strange sounds picked up" while she explores an unnerving abandoned amusement park. As the game progresses, players must solve puzzles, shooting and navigational challenges as you walk and drive through the forest near the amusement park.

Kill Screen has revealed that the upcoming version of "Sylvio" that will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One will be different from the PC version released in 2015 as "tweaks and improvements" were already released for the Steam version of the horror title. However, gamers can rest assured that the version coming out on Friday the 13th will still feature a one-of-a-kind game that will scare the living daylights out of you.

In "Sylvio," Juliette tracks down "shades" and she uses iron nails to expel them. Right before they disappear, the paranormal investigator uses her Electronic Voice Equipment to record the "buzzing static" left behind once these shades are gone. Juliette then studies her ghostly recordings to find out why these spirits roamed the earth.

When Juliette listens to the recordings, carefully playing, pausing, rewinding, reversing, and replaying the audio will help her pick out words and phrases that give clues to the past of the various shades in the horror game. Unlike Koei Tecmo's "Fatal Frame" franchise that had players take photos of ghosts to dispel them or Konami's "Silent Hill" that had gamers fighting different monstrous creatures, "Sylvio" has little to no combat and focuses mostly on puzzle-solving and decrypting mysterious fragmentary passages.
