Tarsier Studios' ("Little Big Planet," "Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic") latest game "Little Nightmares" is an upcoming horror game for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The title will be published by Bandai Entertainment and Microsoft Windows.

According to Games Radar, Tarsier Studios' "Little Nightmares" is slated for an April 28 release date and the game features a little girl in a yellow raincoat called Six. In the game, players must help Six escape The Maw, a dangerous prison filled with puzzles that she must solve before she can escape. As Six solves various puzzles, gamers are also tasked with helping her avoid enemies that want to eat her.

Both physical and digital copies of the game are now available for pre-order. A collector's edition of "Little Nightmares" will also be available for pre-order in the U.K., and it comes with a 10cm statue of Six, the game's soundtrack, an A3-sized poster, and some stickers. However, only limited quantities of the collector's edition will be available for purchase.

The trailer, called "The Nine Deaths of Six," shows Six trying to escape various creepy rooms. One room is filled with grandfather clocks, and another is filled with towering stacks of books and bookshelves. The trailer also shows glimpses of ominous beings, some of which try to catch Six as she escapes. Aside from the humanoid creatures, Six can also be seen fleeing from insects and gigantic chefs who try to include her in dishes meant for sinister visitors to The Maw.

VG24/7 has revealed that players who pre-order digital copies of the game will get the Scarecrow Sask and the Upside-down Teapot Mask, in-game items that will help Six blend into the surroundings as she tries to evade capture. Digital pre-orders for the PC and PS4 will also come with the digital soundtrack of "Little Nightmares," an exclusive PS4 theme, or a PC wallpaper.

The one-of-a-kind horror side-scrolling game "Little Nightmares" was previously an indie game called "Hunger." Tarsier Studios' game was given a new title when it was "later picked up by Bandai Namco."
