Ardent fans of Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2's popular fighting video game series dubbed, "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja," are already aware that the series is slated to wind up. Meanwhile, the game publisher has announced the title's last expansion called, "Road to Boruto" and as expected, the said expansion has been subject to all sorts of speculations and rumors surrounding its gameplay and other features it has to offer.

Much to the delight of the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" players, the upcoming expansion made its way on the internet well ahead of its scheduled February release in the form of its gameplay video and it's nothing short of awe-inspiring.

"Road to Boruto" is slated to eventually tie into the follow-on movie that revolves around the life of Boruto, Naruto Uzumaki's son. Taking this into consideration, the expansion comprises characters hailing from this part of the timeline; for instance, an older Sasuke and Naruto along with their kids, Forbes reported.

Despite confirmation regarding the lauded series' imminent closure, Bandai Namco confirmed that the concluding expansion for "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will be simply jaw-dropping and to uphold this claim, the studio even rolled out a new trailer (shown below) for "Road to Boruto" DLC, WWG reported.

The Boruto spin-off movie was indeed a commendable effort to revive the fading Naruto franchise with a set of never-been-seen characters, without radically deviating from the aboriginal series. Nevertheless, the fact that CyberConnect2 went as far as adding this part of the narrative to its already impressive series of Naruto games is definitely praiseworthy.

The new gameplay sheds light on what the game has in store for the players by reproducing the events that occur in the latest movie and showcasing an array of new playable characters and their brand spanking new styles. The cel shading, as well as combat mechanics, looks quite impressive just like the previous releases.

No doubt, fans of Naruto are in for a treat. "Road to Boruto" DLC hits the store shelves on February 3 for PS4, Xbox One and PC (via Steam).
