One of the biggest and the most awaited phones from Samsung for the year is undoubtedly the Samsung Galaxy S8. While customers are eagerly waiting to get the most powerful smartphone ever built by Samsung, recent leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S8 release date will be delayed.
Galaxy S8 Release Date To Get Delayed
According to the reports by SamMobile from Korea, Samsung will not be unveiling its upcoming flagship of the year at the Mobile World Congress as it usually does and instead the South Korean tech giant is planning to host a separate event in the month of March in New York to unveil the Samsung Galaxy S8 which will not hit the stores any time before April 18.
Galaxy S8 Release Date Falls In Line With Other S-Series Handsets
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is getting significantly delayed even later than the Samsung Galaxy S7 which was released on March 11th, 2016. However, the Samsung Galaxy S8 release date still in the same line as the release of most of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphones. It is notable that the Samsung Galaxy S6, S5, and S4 models actually hit the market only in the month of April and the Galaxy S3, S2, and S1 models came out in the month of May/June. So the Galaxy S8 is still within the company's timeframe of its usual release dates, as reported by Forbes.
Samsung To Do Thorough Safety Investigation Before S8 Release
Also, recent reports say that the company will be beginning to mass-produce Galaxy S8 models from the month of March 2017. Though news about Samsung SDI continuing to supply batteries for the Galaxy S8 even after the chaotic fiasco with exploding batteries of Galaxy Note 7 has been upsetting a lot of customers who plan on getting the Samsung Galaxy S8, the company has been placating customers that they will ensure that all the safety standards are verified and rectified before the release of the upcoming flagship. Customers are eagerly waiting for the powerful flagship to hit the stores.
