A new name for the upcoming HTC 11 has recently appeared online teasing that the device could come sooner than expected. The next handset release is expected to be a mid-range offering from HTC.
New name for HTC 11
Recent leaks which surfaced online revealed that the HTC 11 will be called the "E66" which will be the improved version of the HTC 10 which came out last year. HTC's next release is said to come with a new Qualcomm processor and a 5.5-inch display with a 1440 x 2560 display.
Specs and features
It is believed that the HTC 11 could have either a 4GB RAM or an 8GB RAM. Its storage options could include 32GB, 64GB and up to 256GB. For its camera, many believe that the upcoming device will sport a 12MP main shooter and an 8MP secondary front-facing camera.
As for design, fans are hoping that HTC will change the speaker design for the HTC 10 where the speakers were placed on the bottom and top edges. Stereo speakers on the front are expected by HTC fans and users.
Release date and accessories
Earlier reports indicated that the HTC 11 could be made available in retail stores and online around the second quarter of this year. Since there is still no official word from HTC, many are still hoping that it could be released earlier than expected.
When the HTC 11 comes out soon, the handset is also thought to sport a new design which will make it look unique compared to earlier releases. Some expected accessories of the HTC 11 include wireless earphones and a virtual reality (VR) headset.
Price details
