"How To Get Away With Murder" is slated to return this month to answer a controversial question, "who killed Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch)?." Interestingly, fans will see an alive Wes in occasional flashbacks that may lead to clues about his murderer. Additionally, the midseason premiere of the ABC TV drama is set to reveal whether he fathered a baby before his death.

A report by Entertainment Weekly spilled that fans will see Wes alive as "HTGAWM" returns, which is confirmed by Executive Producer Peter Nowalk himself. EP Nowalk refused to give more details about the deceased law student's appearances in the upcoming episodes but he revealed that the flashbacks will show how he died. Though it may be a heartbreak for avid fans to see Wes dying again, Nowalk hopes that the big reveal would provide relief.

Moreover, "How To Get Away With Murder" will also tell whether or not Wes is the father of Laurel Casrillo's (Karla Souza) child. As per the executive producer, the first episode of "HTGAWM" this year will confirm her baby daddy. Also, Nowalk said that Laurel's devastation over the murder would lead to the major growth of the character and somehow, she will be one of those who will avenge Wes' death.

Meanwhile, actor Enoch teased that there is a huge mystery that hangs from the time his character left the police station to the moment of his death as per a TV Line report. It can be recalled that Wes was interrogated by the DA regarding Rebecca Sutter's (Katie Findlay) murder. Following the interrogation, Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) called Wes and the rest of his group to meet in her house.

However, for the shocking midseason finale twist, something in the house exploded and later, Wes was seen dead. Fans may have initially thought that Wes died in the explosion but this is not the case though. Someone seems to have killed Wes even before the house burned and that's something to be detailed in the new episodes of "HTGAWM" this year.

"How To Get Away With Murder" returns with its 10th episode on Jan. 19. At 10 p.m. In the meantime, check out ABC's trailer of "HTGAWM" below.
