Nokia fans have been desperately waiting for the tech giant to roll out its Android smartphone. Now, after being acquired by HMD from Microsoft, it seems like the smartphone manufacturer has a much bigger surprise in store for its fans. The Finnish company had been amongst the top most smartphone manufacturers until its Windows Phone and Lumia series failed to keep fans interested.
Last year there were speculations that HMD would release four Nokia Android Smartphones. Now, there are reports claiming that the tech giant would not release four but as maximum as 7 new android smartphones this year. The speculation was put forth by Avaxx, a Malaysian Distributor, who also showed off a number of new Nokia Android Smartphone models. The Distributor also added that the phones will be available in all sort of price range to help the company re-establish its foot in the Smartphone market.
While there are a lot of speculations floating around on the internet about Nokia working closely with Google to make the Smartphone experience unbeatable, only one model, the Nokia D1C has been verified so far. There are also reports related to two other Android Smartphones, the Nokia D1 and the Nokia E1. Not much has been revealed about these smartphones yet.
The Malaysian distributor also believes that HMD will unveil the Nokia Android Smartphones at the MWC event, which is to be held in February 2017. Nokia has already tried its hands on Android Smartphone when the tech giant rolled out its Nokia X. However, the Smartphone did not perform that well in the market. Now that the company is under HMD, we may expect the new phones to have better specs and a better marketing strategy.
There have been reports regarding the launch of three smartphones in Q2 next year. These models include the budget D1C, the mid-range priced C1 as well as the flagship P1 model. All of these models are expected to feature the latest Android Nougat 7.0. HMD Global is taking a huge leap of faith with Nokia in releasing such a large number of Smartphones in the same year.
Nokia earlier used to rule the smartphone market, until other companies stole its position with Android and iOS smartphones. With the launch of the aforesaid 7 Android Smartphones, the Company will most probably make a successful comeback to the market.
