Hi-Rez Studios announced that fans who keep an eye on the Twitch coverage for the annual Hi-Rez Expo (HRX) event can earn special loot drops. If they haven't started watching already, "SMITE" and "Paladins" players can still catch up since the Twitch coverage for Hi-Rez Expo 2017 will go on until Sunday, Jan. 8.
PlayStationLifestyle reports that gamers who are interested in earning "SMITE" and "Paladins" loot drops just have to link their Hi-Rez and Twitch accounts at Hi-Rez Studio's official website to get started. The studio also has a special offer for Twitch Prime users as they can access an exclusive skin for one of the most popular Gods featured on "SMITE."
Those who upgrade their Twitch subscription can claim an exclusive JT-6000 skin for Janus, "the Roman god of beginnings." Hi-Rez Studios also promised that subscribers will soon find out more about "additional rewards" that will be revealed at HRX. These rewards will be made available in the coming weeks.
HRX 2017 features an incredible array of gaming events. Twenty-two teams from all over the globe will gather in Atlanta to battle it out as the "SMITE" PC world champion, the "SMITE" Console World Champion and the "Paladin" $150,000 HRX Invitational winner. At the HRX 2017 Community Cosplay Contest, entrants can win an estimated $15,000 in various prizes for different categories. Judging will begin on Saturday, Jan. 7 and winners will take the main stage between the first and second "SMITE" PC semifinal.
Loyal fans who show up at the event will be privy to exclusive information about "SMITE," "Paladins" and "SMITE Tactics" upcoming new content and events. Hi-Rez Studios will also be sharing about their future plans for the aforementioned titles.
At the HRX Expo Hall, fans can check out playable versions of exclusive content that have yet to be revealed to the public! Hi-Rez has also partnered with other booths to give players the ultimate HRX experience. Attendees can also take part in meet-and-greets along with other activities at the event.
Interested parties who can't make it to Atlanta, Georgia can still join the viewing party for the grand finals of the "SMITE" PC World Championship which will take place on Jan. 8. Check the schedule of a Cinemark Theatre near you as a handful of locations will offer viewings at 5 p.m. EST.
