Microsoft recently asked fans during the first day of 2017 if they're prepared for ‘the beast' or its forthcoming 4K-ready Project Scorpio console. The company has previously vowed to go beyond Sony's latest console and it seems that the Scorpio will be launched this year without delays.

Microsoft has been describing Project Scorpio in so many ways such as a monster, which the company promises that the enthusiast-grade console will deliver the ‘best resolution, best frame rates and no compromises.' Now, the next-gen Xbox is being dubbed by the company as the beast.

According to Tweak Town, Xbox executive Aaron Greenberg's interesting post on Twitter implies two things: first, Microsoft is greatly confident in its latest Xbox Project Scorpio and second, fans should expect that it will debut during the holidays of 2017. Greenberg has also said that the console will ‘usher in a new era of 4K gaming.'

In an interview with IGN, Greenberg said that the Project Scorpio would be the most powerful console in history that people have not experienced before. "Hey, I want the most power, I want the best experience possible,' and that's what Project Scorpio is all about," he said.

He also added that bringing the 4K gaming experience at a scale where people enjoy in the comfort of their own home is what the Project Scorpio is all about. He went on to say that gamers certainly want the most power and the best experience possible, which Microsoft aims to fulfill through the latest console.

Analyst Michael Pachter has predicted that the next-gen console would only cost $399 but Tweak Town says that it would be nearly $599 given the fact that it will be using almost all new next-gen AMD CPU and GPU hardware to hit the native 4K resolution and the high-end performance that Microsoft has assured. The next-gen console is set to launch in Holiday 2017.
