Xbox executive Phil Spencer has come out to give clarity to some of the earlier comments he made about the video game industry as to how it can grow in the future. He previously commented on E3's focal point on its show referencing to Microsoft.

According to GameSpot, Spencer has previously said that he would like the 2015 E3 show to concentrate more on expanding Microsoft's own franchises. Recently, he was asked on Twitter if Microsoft has the same goal, which he responded positively.

He said to ‘move gaming forward' and referred to EA Access, the Game Preview program, Fallout mods and cross-play between PC and Xbox One, which at times are only available on Xbox. He added referring to the endeavor, which would move the gaming forward that their first-party IP should also do the same.

He also took pride with Microsoft's efforts in maintaining to invest and expand its own franchises like its continued assistance for "Halo 5" especially its Forge mode. He went on to explain that he doesn't want to spend marketing funds just to keep another console's base not to play at least a piece of content, which he believes that by doing such thing is not promoting growth to the gaming industry.

This appears like trying to dig at the timed-exclusivity deal of Sony with Activision for "Destiny" and "Call of Duty" DLC but he doesn't look at it that way and someone told him he was being hypocritical. "People getting worked up on this. Never said Xbox has never done this, not calling out others, just not practice I like, that's it," he answered.

Moreover, Microsoft Corporation has its own co-marketing deals as well and one of these is "The Division" DLC by Ubisoft. Spencer is the head of Xbox division and has been working all up and promoting its latest Xbox Project Scorpio, which he told AusGamers that he wants it to be at a console price-point.
