Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 are the top laptops that buyers are considering for purchase in 2017. Both the devices are endowed with amazingly innovative features and the latest technologies. 2017 is going to be a big year for tech and these two laptops are worth a comparison.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will sport a UHD 4K display and the device will come with a magnetic charging stylus. It could be powered by an Intel Kaby Lake processor. The device is said to cost $899 depending on the configuration and accessories one selects. The Surface Pro 5 is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2017. There are rumors that the device will have a 512GB along with SSD, USB Type-C and Thunderbolt 3 support.

The Dell XPS laptops are considered one of the finest laptops of all time. With the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1, the company has offered a 360-degree hinged convertible with an almost bezel-less display. The full HD screen has Gorilla Glass protection and has a resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels. The device costs $999 in the US. There are dual under-the-screen webcam lenses incorporated into the device, writes CNET.

Users are facing a dilemma and do not know whether to buy a Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 now or simply wait for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 device. A report by DigiTimes has hinted at a March 2017 release for the Surface Pro 5. Thus, if a user does not desperately need to buy a laptop now, it is perhaps advisable to wait a few more months. The Surface Pro 5 is expected to cost around $899. Hence, there's a cost advantage too.
