There have been tonnes of rumours and leaks floating around the internet about Rockstar Game's latest "GTA 6" since the game developer rolled out its "Red Dead Redemption 2." While the entire series is getting old, it still has a very strong fan base. The current version, Grand Theft Auto 5 has also been well acclaimed by the GTA franchise fans. The latest "GTA 6" is in the development stage at present and will reportedly hit the stores sometime next year.
The game developer hasn't revealed much about the latest addition to its franchise, but based on the recent reports and leaks, we can speculate about what the game may have to offer. According to NeuroGadget, "GTA 6" may just be a huge game changer for the entire franchise history with the introduction of a new female lead character. While the other games of the franchise feature a male protagonist, a female protagonist has been on Rockstar Games To-do list for quite a long time.
The storyline of the entire series has not changed much since its initial release in 1997. The entire franchise has had a lead male character ever since. Probably the game developer believes this is the right time to make a big change before the players start to lose interest. Quite recently at the launch time of "GTA 5", Dan Houser, one of the company's co-founders stated in an interview with IGN that the company is looking forward to a female lead in the upcoming games.
There are also several reports that suggest that "GTA 6" may re-introduce the Vice City Map to the game's franchise. BitBag reports that the Vice City map isn't impossible. It is worth notable that the "GTA 5" featured several parts of San Andreas Map, whereas, "GTA 4" was located in a Liberty City scenario. Leslie Benzies, one of the former heads of Rockstar North revealed earlier that the re-introduction of the Vice City is very possible. He also added that the Vice City Map is no doubt a place the players would love to revisit.
Considering that the game developer is taking quite a lot of time in completing the "GTA 6" project, it seems pretty clear that it is going to be a big one. There have been confirmed reports that the developer had earlier divided its teams to focus on both "Red Dead Redemption" and "GTA" separately.
