Niantic released a bunch of new Pokemon on their recent "Pokemon Go" Holiday Event, starting off with the cute baby Pokemon and now a special New Year treat which is currently live. The treat is where players can increase the spawns of the Kanto region starter Pokemon.
It's already 2017 and there is one question that most trainers have on their minds right now, where are the Legendary Pokemon? SlashGear reported that the Legendary Birds Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos that were missing in action since the launch and were expected to appear on the Holiday Event. The release of these Legendary Pokemon "might possibly" be coming this Spring 2017 where most "Pokemon Go" players are expected to get out of their houses and catch more Pokemon outside.
The report also said that the releasing of the Legendary Birds Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos will not be part of any religious holidays and that will not cost any money to obtain the Legendary Pokemon. They also stated, that it would also make sense that they will be released during the Spring season since "the birds" will be flying around and will be easier for players to catch them since they won't be wearing heavy winter boots.
Niantic CEO John Hanke has previously shared some hints about the Legendary Pokemon in "Pokemong Go" and some other anticipated major updates like Trading and the PVP Battles. While some players were reported that they were given Legendary Birds like Articuno and Moltres as a token of appreciation because of their suggestions through an email when the game was first released.
However, there are still no confirmations or official announcements from Niantic on the said release of the Legendary Birds on Spring 2017. Still many "Pokemon Go" fans of are still hoping to catch these Legendary Bird Pokemon including Mew and Mewtwo really soon.
