Carries Fisher is one of the most important actresses in the "Star Wars"Saga. Now, after her death, fans are all wondering what would happen to the upcoming "Star Wars" Episode 8.

Many fans are thinking that Carrie Fisher's death will affect her role as Leia Organa in "Star Wars" Episode 8. But the film was already finished before the actress died this December and she was able to finish shooting for her role in the movie.

According to the Deadline report, Carrie Fisher already completed her next feature in the "Star Wars" Episode 8. The principal photography of the upcoming movie wrapped on July 22, 2016.

The latter site also reported that the Carrie Fisher takes a larger role in the "Star Wars" Episode 8. Princess Leia Organa became the leader of the Resistance in the episode 7 and obviously also in the episode 8, however, no details are disclosed regarding to Fisher's larger role.

Carrie Fisher may have completed the "Star Wars" Episode 8, but there's no information if her role Leia Organa will also appear in the final episode 9 of the franchise. The film studio may use CGI technology to fill her character, but there is no word about this yet.

Beside the "Star Wars" Episode 8, Carrie Fisher also completed the filming of her role in the third season of the TV Series "Catastrophe" according to Variety. But the fourth season of this show was renewed and the future of Fisher's role remains to be seen.

"Star Wars" Episode 8 will premiere on Dec. 15, 2017, and it's a good thing that Carrie Fisher will grace her presence one last time as Princess Leia.
