The Oscar supporting actor nominee Tom Hardy is said to appear on a small cameo in upcoming "Star Wars 8" film that will premiere in December 2017. "The Revenant" actor is said to appear as a Stormtrooper on the said film, opposing main characters such as John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.
However, the 39-year old did confirm over a quick interview with The Hollywood Reporter on the premiere of "Taboo" at the Ritz-Carlton in Manhattan, New York to promote the 19th Century drama TV series. The "Mad Max" actor was asked if the rumors where true about him being a part of the George Lucas' film. Hardy then quickly ask if where that information came from.
After being told by the interviewer that the rumors came from the internet, Hardy laughed and said that "the internet is glorious wed of deceit and misinformation." The reporter asked if the rumors were true and Hardy just answers "it could be, couldn't it?
In other news, "The Revenant" actor wanted to appear on his upcoming TV series from Fox and BBC, "Taboo" naked and never wanting to wear clothes. Hardy stated that it's not a period of drama until someone gets naked and cover themselves in blood, as Digital Spy reports.
The 39-year old actor said that viewers are lucky that there was a cloth covering the actor's private parts because he basically didn't want one. Hardy added that the scene was shot in the swamp, in the docks with his character wearing nothing on and the team was trying to eke out drama from any opportunity. However, that scene was deleted out and didn't make it into the final cut.
"Star Wars 8" will premiere in December 2017 with returning cast like Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Laura Dern and more. Other than that, it's still uncertain if Tom Hardy would really make it into the said film as the actor is busy with a lot of projects.
