"Star Wars 8" is still in the midst of filming, but fans are craving for updates. Surprisingly, director Rian Johnson posted a photo on his blog and teased that the production is in the "home stretch."

The director revealed a familiar Jedi robe on his Tumblr post. Apart from the vague caption, Johnson did not provide any details yet.

Questions came in after the photo went online. Whose robe is it and what does the director mean of "home stretch?" The hype continues even though the movie is still in the works.

As far as the idiom, Johnson must have meant that the filming is in its final stage, or climax. However, there are many speculations as to where the robe belongs to.

According to Collider, it might be Luke Skywalker's, who is bound to have more appearances after Rey located him at the end of "The Force awakens." On the other hand, some who commented on the article guessed that the iconic outfit belongs to Rey, who is played by Daisy Ridley.

Rey accidentally found out that she has the force during their encounter with Maz Kanata. But since there are few hints to begin with, the speculations may be granted with a grain of salt.

But whatever the story may be, actor John Boyega, who plays the dissident stormtrooper, Finn, said that the upcoming flick will be darker and bigger.

"It's very easy. Rian Johnson is great. It's a different take, darker, bigger. Someone will say: 'How do you get bigger than 'Force Awakens?' But it's crazy," quotes Cultjer.

Apart from the numerous guesses and theories about the plot, the plausible titles for "Star Wars 8" have also emerged on the Internet. TV Film and Spoiler posted on its Twitter account that the possible title would be "Fall of the Resistance."

On the other hand, outlets like Digital Spy and Reddit wrote that other possible headlines could be "The Fallen Knights" or "Echoes of the Dark Side," respectively. Fans may see a glimpse of the trailer before the year ends.

"Star Wars 8" premieres on Dec. 15, 2017.
