"Family Guy" is one of the most influential series in television these days. For the record, it has been going on for several seasons and it never fails to captivate the attention of many. People have been raving about its great storyline and its ability to affect people due to its unique approach. The animated series is one of the staple shows that can make their audience laugh and cry their hearts out. And that was what happened in the last episode of the show.
Following the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Sunday television went to a heart-wrenching ride when a touching tribute dedicated to the departed Carrie Fisher was shown in "Family Guy." Fox aired the animated TV series right after the Golden Globe Awards on its second hour. It is the show's opener for their winter season, which surprisingly had a dedication to the Star Wars character actress.
Dedication for Carrie Fisher was done in lieu of her passing last December. She had a heart attack during a flight and was immediately taken to the Intensive Care unit of a hospital in Los Angeles before she finally let go of her last breath. She came from a visit to London. A day after, her mother died as well. In the touching tribute of the animated TV series "Family Guy," Carrie Fisher became the voice of Angela, Peter's supervisor at the Pawtucket Brewery. More episodes will be showing Angela this coming season.
Angela's appearance in the show will definitely be something to watch for by the fans of the show. These episodes and appearances were recorded prior to her death. Aside from the series, Carrie Fisher will be appearing in Amazon's "Catastrophe." In the said show, she will be playing the role of a mother-from-hell.
At the wake of Fisher's death, Seth MacFarlane, the star and creator of the said show reminisced his fond memories with Carrie Fisher when he worked with her for the show. He said: "Carrie Fisher was smart, funny, talented, surprising and always a hell of a fun time to be around. Family Guy will surely miss her."
