A while back at E3 2016, we saw the trailer of the upcoming Ubisoft game, "South Park: The Fractured But Whole." The game, which is based on the satirical TV series "South Park," is the successor to the critically acclaimed "South Park: The Stick of Truth." Ubisoft announced that they will release the highly anticipated game for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 platforms on December 6, 2016. But, the game is facing delays and the release date has shifted to Q1 2017.
"South Park: Stick of Truth" came up last year and had gained massive success thanks to the dedicated design and concept as seen in the South Park animated series. Moreover, the satirical puns that the episodes are famous for were found in the game as well. Fans loved it so much that they were already ready for the next instalment in the series. And, Ubisoft developers too were already prepared to offer a new game for 2016. But, it got delayed.
We do not have the actual release date for the upcoming "South Park" game, but we do know that it will be revealed in the early months of 2017.
"South Park: The Fractured But Whole" Game Features A Superhero Civil War Theme
We do know that the new game will feature a theme based on superhero movies. The plot of the game will continue with Cartman creating a superhero group which divides into two just as we see in the movie "Captain America: Civil War."
The presentation of the game might be around a superhero-themed perspective, but the roots of the game still lie in an RPG-style game. We already witness that in the "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" trailer where combat moves comprise the likes of abilities such as super farts that tear down the universe. In addition, there will be a character generating mode which will allow gamers to create their own character persona with support from Cartman himself.
A change from the original turn-based action RPG sequence is expected to be seen in this game. This change could feature a tile-based combat system. Further details will soon come out and so will the game. Let's hope that "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" is as brilliant as the previous one.
