Dubbed as the Netflix for Pirates, Popcorn Time has already gained a huge reputation in the eyes of the TV and movie fans. The team behind Popcorn Time has just recently launched a new tracker for Bit torrent.
The recently launched Bit torrent tracker of Popcorn time is aptly called the Popcorn tracker. The tracker allows Popcorn time to further serve its users in providing ways and means to share both legal and questionable contents. The website's free Popcorn tracker has just recently become live and has already helped a number of internet users to share both legal and illegal content on BitTorrent.
The Popcorn tracker provides an added boost to file-sharing because only a few public trackers are available as of the moment. To make use of the Popcorn tracker, users will have to include the URL of the Popcorn tracker in their torrents.
In a recent interview with TorrentFreak, the people behind the popcorn time discussed the purpose for the existence of their website. According to them, although it is true that all of us would like to see the best TV series and movies once they became online, some internet users does not have all the money to spend on legit downloads.
Popcorn time further discussed that internet users who belong to 3rd world countries do not have the money to purchase digital contents. The website also likened itself to Netflix. Also, in the same interview, PopCorn time has predicted that file sharing will increase in 2017. This interview came after an Australian federal court ordered the shutdown of sites that facilitate piracy.
With the stricter measures now being imposed by different government offices and countries to strengthen the fight against piracy, the introduction of the new Popcorn BitTorrent tracker comes as a huge statement from the illegal sharing site. Living up to their moto, that their service will never be taken down, Popcorn Time has just cemented its reputation in the eyes of torrent users.
