Sega has released a new trailer that showcases another character in the upcoming game "Valkyria Revolution." The game is all about combat and action-RPG sequence. However, compared to the last series of "Valkyria Chronicles," this upcoming series has changed a lot.
The trailer focuses on Princess Ophelia, the princess of the Kingdom of Jutland. For the first impression of fans, she might be a Valkyrur, beings with strong and superhuman abilities, and her powers, which is the ability to manipulate Song Magic, which is a rare and helpful tactic during battles because it will either boost all players or heal their HP.F
For gamers, who are planning to buy the game when it gets released next year, they might think that song magic is something underrated or cliche as based on the comments in a related post from Gematsu website. But this ability has origins in the previous games from Sega, the same game company that created "Valkyria Revolution."
Examples of the games that have song magic are "Shining Ark," where Panis can sing, boosting or healing her allies in the process. Another would be "Ar Tonelico," "Final Fantasy" series, and "Valkyria Chronicles 1," where Rosie, a Squad 7 member has a personal skill called "Song of Peace." Although the skill only boosts morale during battle, the song magic presented in "Valkyria Revolution" for Princess Ophelia could be another perspective of it. Who knows, she might be one of the Valkyrur.
The faces of the characters seem a bit off, especially for the extra and supporting characters of the game. Despite the faces seem a bit off and low budget kind of type, the story of the game and its quality remains unchanged. The intrigue among fans are starting to rise and the hype is beginning to accumulate. "Valkyria Revolution" for the PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and Xbox One consoles will be released in Q2 2017 for North America and Europe. The game will get released on Jan. 19, 2017, in Japan.
